There are watches that tell time and others that tell a story. The new Hamilton Khaki Field Auto Odyssey Limited Edition was created with this very objective: to transform one of classical literature's most famous tales into a timepiece with strong symbolic value.

Created in collaboration with Christopher Nolan, the project draws inspiration from the film Odyssey and reinterprets some of its most iconic elements through the language of watchmaking. The result is a limited edition that blends tradition, cinema, and design into a creation destined for brand enthusiasts and collectors.

A design that tells the journey of Ulysses

The inspiration from the Homeric poem emerges discreetly but continuously.

The dial features motifs reminiscent of Ulysses' helmet, while the hands take the shape of gladii, evoking the weapons of the Greek hero without sacrificing legibility. The circular satin finish adds depth to the surface, creating a refined play of light that enhances every detail.

The case back also contributes to the narrative: it is engraved with Ulysses' helmet and bears Christopher Nolan's signature, sealing the connection between the timepiece and the cinematic project.

Materials chosen to leave a mark

Hamilton chose bronze as the main material for the 42 mm case, a decision that goes beyond simple aesthetic impact.

Over time, bronze develops a natural patina that makes each watch unique, transforming it into a one-of-a-kind piece. The titanium case back, on the other hand, ensures greater comfort against the skin, while the leather strap recalls the essential style of the Khaki Field collection.

It is a balance between vintage charm and modern technology that perfectly reflects the philosophy of the project.

The heart is the H-10 caliber

Inside beats the Hamilton H-10 automatic movement, now one of the Maison's benchmarks.

Equipped with an 80-hour power reserve and a Nivachron balance spring, the caliber offers high precision and improved resistance to magnetic fields. The technical specifications are completed by sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment, water resistance up to 100 meters, and Super-LumiNova coating to ensure excellent legibility even in low light conditions.

An experience designed for collectors

The watch is only one part of the project.

Hamilton has developed a dedicated box, inspired by ancient Greek shields, which houses the timepiece along with a reproduction of the Athena brooch seen in the film and a commemorative plaque with Christopher Nolan's signature.

The entire set was conceived as a collector's item, capable of telling the story of the connection between cinema and watchmaking, even through its packaging.

Only 2,112 pieces to celebrate an epic

Emphasizing the exclusivity of the project is a production limited to 2,112 numbered pieces.

The number refers to the symbolic value of 12, which is recurrent in Greek mythology and the epic of Ulysses, further strengthening the link between the timepiece and the story that inspired it. More than a simple special edition, this Khaki Field represents a meeting of classical culture, cinematic creativity, and watchmaking tradition.

With this creation, Hamilton once again confirms its ability to transform great cinema into authentic collector's items, while maintaining the technical DNA and reliability that have made the Khaki Field collection famous.
