Introducing the MRG-B5000. Based on the very first G-SHOCK, it is crafted with cutting-edge metals and meticulous finishes that are the hallmark of the top-of-the-line MR-G series. These state-of-the-art timepieces are a prime example of metal craftsmanship. The case and bezel are made of a super-hard titanium alloy based on Ti64. The bracelet is made of the special DAT55G titanium alloy. DAT55G is three times harder than pure titanium and is very easy to work with. The top of the bezel is made of COBARION®, a cobalt-chromium alloy, four times harder than pure titanium. The bezel alone consists of 25 different components, each individually polished to create an astonishingly detailed texture. The advanced Multi-Guard structure includes flat springs and silicone bumpers on the multi-component bezel which provide excellent shock absorption to protect the dedicated MR-G module with a gold-plated retaining plate. The MRG-B5000B retains the sparkle and diamond-like carbon coating for a brilliant black finish just like the first G-SHOCK it mimics. But now with a high-gloss polished finish. The dial features the iconic brick pattern and a red line reminiscent of the original design. These metallic beauties also impress in terms of functionality, thanks to radio-controlled calibration and smartphone pairing via Bluetooth®.
