Pursuing greater robustness and inheriting the DNA of the first G-SHOCK model (DW5000), the GW5000U-1 is constructed with a solid metal case and screw-down case back. This watch also features advanced technology, Multi-Band 6, which receives standard radio waves from 6 stations around the world. The metal case and screw-down case back are made of DLC (diamond-like) to improve wear resistance, while the screw-down case back is mirror-finished to create a luxurious finish. In addition, the resin band uses a soft urethane that is comfortable to wear. Evolving from the original G-SHOCK design born in 1983, the GW5000U-1 is a refined model that boasts high-quality technology and finishing.
