King Seiko 6L35 Automatic SJE105J1

The KING SEIKO SJE105J1 watch combines a flat dial with faceted indexes and “Diamond Cut” hands to accurately capture the essential features of the original 1960s model. Its new, slimmer design echoes the original KSK design, sharp and angular, with wide lugs and dazzling finishing. This model is equipped with the top-of-the-line caliber 6L35. The unique blue dial adopts a distinctive pressed pattern – “Kameido-Kikko” – inspired by the birthplace of the King Seiko brand: Kameido in Tokyo. The repeated, textured shapes are designed to resemble a collection of tortoise shells. Kameido was once an island shaped like a tortoise shell and was called “Kamejima” or “Turtle Island”. In many East Asian countries, tortoises are revered as divine creatures and in Japan they are considered a symbol of longevity and good fortune.
