Squaring the circle
It’s back. In fact, it never went away, but today the Oris Rectangular is back with new proportions, fresh, vibrant dial designs and new leather strap options – ready for all seasons. The Rectangular’s classic, elegant and unisex shape is defined by its square-shaped steel case with an integrated strap. Note the raised edges on the sides of the case, which enhance its character, and the tapered ends of the lugs, which allow it to rest naturally on the wrist. The dials, available in white, blue, charcoal grey and burgundy, are heavily influenced by Art Deco design. The minute track runs around the outer edge of the dial, forming an inner rectangle that defines and completes the silhouette of the case. Numerals at 12, 9 and 3 play with symmetry and asymmetry, while sword-shaped hands and a date window at 6 complete the aesthetic. Each model comes with an easily interchangeable strap in yellow, blue, charcoal grey or burgundy leather. The watch is powered by the Oris Calibre 561, a Swiss-made self-winding mechanical movement with time and date, visible through a mineral glass caseback. The Oris Rectangular is proof that it takes a special watch to square the circle.
