This new collaborative limited edition of 2,500 pieces combines modern watchmaking with automotive heritage, featuring a striking 1960s-inspired design. First introduced in 1969, the Speedtimer represents a milestone in Seiko's watchmaking innovation. That same year, Nissan Motor Corporation's flagship sports brand, Datsun , was also launched.

This new collaborative model is the first Speedtimer to house the in-house automatic 6R calibre, renowned for its robustness and reliability, and is also the thinnest 6R model in the brand's history , measuring just 11.95 mm thick, with a diameter of 39.5 mm and water resistance to 200 metres .

In 1971, the Datsun 240Z , also known as the Fairlady Z – with the Seiko logo as its sponsor – won the East African Safari Rally , one of the toughest races in the world. The Datsun 240Z reflects the characteristics of the Seiko Speedtimer: style, durability, reliability and high performance.

This Speedtimer watch takes many styling cues from the historic DATSUN 240Z rally car: the color scheme , the font inspired by the vehicle's instrument panels , and the DATSUN logo visible on the caseback, dial, and buckle . The hard-coated bezel features a tachymeter for speed measurement. The LWG-certified black leather strap adds a touch of elegance to the sporty design.
