Casio G-Shock Ring Watch CRW-001-1ER

We celebrate the 50th anniversary of Casio Watch by bringing back the first ring-style watch. A new style of digital watch, practical and trendy, thanks to a miniaturized module and advanced metal processing technology. Creating a full-metal, ring-style version of Casio's complex watch shape is no easy feat. To make it possible, we had to use a special metal processing method to inject a mixture of fine metal powders and resin into a mold. Thanks to metal injection molding (MIM), the case, case back, and ring were molded as a single piece, faithfully reproducing even the dimpled design of the strap. A special glass bonding technique ensures the seal of a watch built to be water-resistant, while still allowing for battery replacement. With an inner diameter of 20 mm and a circumference of 62.8 mm, the ring is suitable for a size 22 finger (US 10.5, EU U) and includes two spacers for size adjustment, in sizes 19 (19 mm inner diameter) and 16 (18 mm inner diameter). We scaled down the standard watch module by 10 and assembled it with a small button battery to create a 3-button digital watch wearable on a finger. Even at this reduced size, the watch features a 7-segment LCD display that shows not only the time to the second, but also the date, dual time, and stopwatch function. When the desired time is set, the ring watch emits a subtle, flashing light: not only useful for keeping time, but also a poetic nod to the fleeting shimmer of time.
