The use of high-rigidity carbon on the case keeps damage and deformation at bay and ensures a high level of airtightness and shock resistance. This model also features a filter that protects against mud ingress, a stainless steel back panel, and an impact-resistant fine resin backing embedded with glass fibers, giving it a high level of dust and mud resistance. Additionally, the bezel uses three layers of fine resin with carbon fiber inserts and is designed to resemble a gas can like those found on off-road vehicles. Function-wise, this model is equipped with a compass, altimeter/barometer, temperature reader, and pedometer. In addition to being able to easily adjust the time using the dedicated G-Shock app, there are many other useful features, including Mission Log, which automatically records the app's altitude data from the watch and route data from your smartphone.
