Our skin in the game
The Oris x Cervo Volante collaboration begins with three Big Crown Pointer Date watches. Each has a gradient dial inspired by alpine hues and a sustainable deer leather strap. They come with a pouch and card holder made of the same material. These are not limited editions, nor is this a one-off initiative.

Cervo Volante
In 2017, biotechnology engineer and experienced entrepreneur Kadri Vunder Fontana and biologist specialising in nature conservation and habitat management Conny Thiel-Egenter founded Cervo Volante. Their goal was to collect waste products, especially deer hides, and transform them into beautiful, durable, sustainable footwear and accessories. Their company grew rapidly. A year ago, having heard about the Change for the Better campaign, they contacted Oris to launch the project of a sustainable deer leather strap. We seized the opportunity.
Cervo Volante's craftsmanship, low environmental impact and vision won us over. Their leather shoes and accessories are not only beautiful, but tell stories that equivalent commercial products could never do.
For example, they retain the imperfections that a deer's hide acquires throughout a lifetime, and which would be discarded by other companies. These hides are not farmed and do not require chemical treatment. If not recycled, they would simply be burned. Cervo Volante works with the last two Swiss tanneries that use 100% vegetable tanning processes.
