Squaring the circle
Is back. In fact, it never went away, but today the Oris Rectangular returns to the fore with new proportions, vibrant and re-designed dials and new leather strap options – ready for all seasons. The classic, elegant and unisex shape of the Rectangular is defined by the square-shaped steel case with integrated strap. Note the reliefs on the sides of the case which enhance its character and the tapering of the ends of the lugs which allows them to adapt naturally to the wrist. The dials, available in white, blue, anthracite gray and burgundy, boast a design strongly influenced by the Art Deco style. The minute track runs along the outer edge of the dial to form an internal rectangle that defines and completes the silhouette of the case. Numerals at 12, 9 and 3 play with symmetry and asymmetry, while sword-shaped hands and a date window at 6 complete the aesthetic. Each model is equipped with an easily interchangeable strap in yellow, blue, anthracite gray or burgundy leather. The watch is powered by the Oris Caliber 561, a Swiss made self-winding mechanical movement with date and time, visible through a mineral glass case back. The Oris Rectangular is proof that it takes a special watch to square the circle.
