G-SHOCK, the brand of indestructible watches, presents a model from its most luxurious line, MR-G, embellished with the traditional Japanese color kachi-iro. The kachi-iro color is a dark navy blue with a long history in Japan. Originally described as dark indigo or dark brown, it was the preferred color of samurai who considered it a "victory" hue, and for this reason, it was often used on armor and helmets. This watch is inspired by the MRG-B2000 model, to which a Japanese pattern has been added to the dial, giving it beauty and strength. The base surface of the dial features a scale pattern, while the outer edge has cuts reminiscent of a fan or a room divider, creating a simple yet splendid texture. The indexes have a curved shape reminiscent of a katana, achieved through masterfully inlaid edges and unique curved surfaces obtained thanks to Yamagata Casio's nanotechnology. The inner bezel, inner dial, and logo are colored with kachi-iro to create a solid structure. The model also features the practical smartphone connection function via radio wave reception and Bluetooth® connectivity. The materials, structure, and features have been carefully selected in the creation of this MR-G model, which inherits the strength and aesthetics handed down in Japan since time immemorial.
