Laco Original pilot watches are authentic reconstructions of 1940s observation watches. They are also called B-Uhr, from the German term Beobachtungsuhren. At the time, only a handful of companies were authorized to manufacture these pilot watches according to the detailed requirements of the Reichsluftfahrtministerium (RLM) (formerly the German Ministry of Aviation). With a majestic 55 mm diameter, the watches were also used as navigation instruments at the time. The five manufacturers (IWC, Laco, Lange & Söhne, Stowa, and Wempe) thus created a watchmaking classic that has become a source of inspiration for many wristwatches. With its Original pilot watches, Laco presents the most authentic reconstructions of this type of watch on the market.
