The Bucintoro 1976 represents the second installment in our series dedicated to NOS movements, precious testaments to the great mechanical tradition. At its heart is the vintage Lemania caliber 1873, a manual chronograph that once powered professional aviation instruments, a symbol of reliability and precision. This edition pays homage to the era when supersonic civil aviation redefined the boundaries of travel, transforming the ocean into a mere few hours of flight. Sealing this bond, each piece features a certified titanium plaque crafted from an original Concorde blade, making each timepiece unique.

The Lemania 1873 movements used in this edition come from several lots recovered from private European collections. They were produced in different years and, although they all belong to the same caliber family, may exhibit slight aesthetic or construction variations. Each piece has been fully restored and overhauled by our master watchmaker to ensure full functionality and mechanical integrity.

From Concorde engine to case

Each piece preserves an extraordinary detail: a plaque carved from an original Concorde engine blade. This component, made of titanium and nickel alloy, crossed the Atlantic at supersonic speeds, experiencing thousands of hours of flight. Today, transformed into a distinctive element of the case, it becomes an authentic fragment of aeronautical history and a symbol of the connection between legendary engineering and fine watchmaking.

Beyond the sound barrier

The Bucintoro 1976's minute counter evokes the cockpits of the Concorde, where every second counted in pushing the limits of speed. The indices dedicated to Mach 1 and Mach 2 are not simply graphic references, but symbols of that unique moment when man broke the sound barrier. This detail transforms the dial into a celebration of the supersonic era, where precision and audacity become one.
