Nereide Ti-Damascus is born from the encounter between the art of damascene work and experimentation with materials. The dial is crafted from a combination of different titanium alloys, melted and folded using a technique inspired by historical metalworking techniques, then heat-treated to reveal unique textures and grain patterns that are impossible to replicate. The 316L stainless steel case is paired with a polished tungsten bezel, chosen for its durability and aesthetic continuity. The Sellita SW200-1 caliber is enhanced by a skeletonized oscillating weight, crafted in-house with radial Côtes de Genève stripes and a purple IP coating.

From Nothing to Earth
After forging and finishing, the dial is heated by hand with a precisely controlled flame. The heat triggers a superficial oxidation that doesn't alter the metal's structure, but permanently transforms its color. The alloys that compose damascene titanium react differently to temperature, generating iridescent hues that develop without pigments, in shades ranging from blue to copper, through gold and purple.
A metal with many shades
The dial is crafted from Damascus titanium, an alloy composed of various grades of titanium obtained through rolling, high-temperature welding in a protective atmosphere, and subsequent manual processing. After forging, the surface is shaped, polished, and heat-treated to reveal unique grain and reflections. The nuances arise from the controlled oxidation of the metal and vary depending on the composition of the alloys and the angle of the light.
