In 1968, Seiko launched a new and revolutionary innovation with the world's first hi-beat diver's watch. Featuring a case design inspired by the 1968 original model, and bearing the name "Marinemaster" from Seiko's heritage of producing diving watches, this new re-interpretation maintains the same 300-meter water resistance.
Underneath a dual-curved sapphire glass is a white dial featuring a delicate sand-like pattern. Designed for high contrast underwater, every aspect is optimised for diving conditions: a streamlined case, with the crown in a comfortable 4 o'clock position, strong Lumibrite for readability in the darkest depths, and an ISO-standard unidirectional rotating bezel for diving.
