The U-Boat Darkmoon Kamacollection represents one of the most surprising innovations ever introduced by Italo Fontana, taking the concept of oil-filled watches to a completely new dimension. Presented at Watches & Wonders, this exclusive series literally transforms light into darkness thanks to a photochromatic technology applied to the dial.

The new Darkmoon Kama watches maintain the unmistakable aesthetic of the Darkmoon family but introduce an invisible element capable of reacting to sunlight. When exposed to light, the dial progressively darkens until it becomes almost completely black in the blue and green versions, while the grey variant evolves into an intense purple color. The result is a spectacular visual effect that makes each watch dynamic and constantly transforming.

The experience is amplified by the renowned oil-filledtechnology, a distinctive signature of the Darkmoon, U-65, and Capsoil collections. The oil contained within the case almost completely eliminates refraction between the glass and the dial, creating extraordinary visual depth and the optical illusion of the crystal's absence.

The 46.5 mmcase is available in 316L steel or with black PVD treatment, while the sunray dials in blue, green, and grey tones are embellished with special photochromatic filters that make each model unique. The hands and the iconic U-shaped index remain perfectly legible even during the transformation thanks to the use of Super-LumiNova.

The heart of the watch is the Swiss Ronda 762movement, protected by the characteristic Locking Ring System, which allows for quick battery replacement and oil refilling if needed. The equipment is completed by a domed sapphire crystal, water resistance up to 50 meters, and a handmade leather strap crafted in Tuscany.
