The model draws inspiration from the traditional Japanese color kurogane-iro, a deep blue-green hue that iron takes on during the crafting of armor and helmets. This shade is reproduced through a layered hardening process and a green DLC coating applied to titanium.
The recrystallized titanium bezel features a distinctive crystalline pattern that recalls the nie crystals of Japanese blades, while both the case and bezel are treated with DLC coating. The flexible and durable fluororubber band is adorned with the bishamon kikko pattern, a symbol of strength linked to the tradition of the warrior deity Bishamonten.
The dial, engraved to evoke the shape of a Japanese fan or screen, offers an essential yet sophisticated texture. The hour markers, inspired by the curvature of the katana, feature a "grind-mark" finish achieved through Yamagata's precision nano-machining.
To complete the package, advanced technological features include: radio control, Bluetooth® connectivity for smartphone pairing, and an MR-G module with a gold-plated fixing plate to reduce electrical resistance. Sallaz polishing, double hardening, and sapphire glass with anti-reflective coating further enhance the construction quality.
