In 1967 , DOXA launched the revolutionary concept of the SUB , considered the first diving watch specifically designed for a wider audience. The radical innovations it introduced at that time quickly made it the benchmark for professionals as well. Water-resistant to 30 bar , corresponding to approximately 300 metres of depth , it was the first to feature a unidirectional rotating bezel with a double scale for depth and dive time, useful for calculating a safe ascent without the need for decompression stops. The most radical innovation: the orange dial, which significantly improved readability underwater.

The SUB 300 case has a diameter of 42.5 mm and is made of the highest quality 316L stainless steel . The three-hand, self-winding movement is COSC Chronometer certified, a guarantee of precision, robustness and reliability, with a power reserve of 38 hours . The date window is positioned at 3 o'clock . The SUB 300 naturally features the famous unidirectional rotating bezel, patented by DOXA, with the dual indication of dive time in minutes and depth in meters to calculate dive times without decompression. Equipped with a screw-lock crown , it is water-resistant to a depth of 300 meters , approximately 980 feet .

In homage to its heritage , the SUB 300 is now equipped with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment, which retains the domed shape of the plexiglass of the original 1967 model. All diving-related markings are treated with Super-LumiNova® , to ensure optimal readability in low-visibility conditions.

As of 2020 , the SUB 300 is available in 8 colours and can be chosen with the popular “beads of rice” stainless steel bracelet or a sporty rubber strap, both with distinctive DOXA details on the sides, matching the dial colour. The folding clasp of the rubber strap features the exclusive DOXA fish symbol and is equipped with an adjustable wetsuit extension to suit the thickness of the wetsuit.
