The Laco Fliegeruhren Original aviator watches are authentic reproductions of the Beobachtungsuhren , also known as B-Uhren , from the 1940s. At the time, only a select few companies were authorized to produce these pilot watches, following the strict specifications set by the Reichsluftfahrtministerium (RLM) .

With an impressive original diameter of 55 mm , these timepieces were also used as true navigation instruments. The five authorized manufacturers— IWC, Laco, Lange & Söhne, Stowa, and Wempe —thus created a watchmaking classic that has become the benchmark for numerous wristwatches over time.
