COSC. STOPWATCH
The "chronometer" certification guarantees the high precision of a watch or movement.
The tests conducted by the COSC include verification of the number engraved on the watch movement and checks in a test environment. Each movement is individually checked according to a rigorous procedure over several days in five positions and at different temperatures (8°C, 23°C and 38°C). For 15 days the watch is subjected to daily checks. Every day, including Saturday and Sunday, the instruments are measured and charged. If the movement meets the requirements, the chronometry certification is issued.


CALIBER 80 CHRONOMETER SILICON
MIDO has decided to optimize its most representative movement, the Caliber 80, by equipping it with a silicon hairspring. In addition to its anti-magnetic properties, this material, essential in fine watchmaking, offers long-term precision much higher than that of a normal hairspring, with higher shock resistance characteristics. The watch is a COSC certified chronometer and offers exceptional autonomy of up to 80 hours of power reserve.
