HOROLOGY IS ART, AN OBJECT OF EMOTION

Conceived by legendary French designer Alain Silberstein, this timepiece explores a marine and symbolic visual language, shaped by primary colours, geometric forms and nautical-inspired applied details. Powered by YEMA's CMM.20 in-house micro-rotor calibre and housed in a Grade 5 titanium case with black DLC coating, it combines mechanical precision and artistic expression in a distinctly graphic composition.

WHEN ART TAKES TO THE SEA

Known for bringing a distinctive artistic language to watchmaking, Alain Silberstein composes this dial through colour, shape, and marine symbolism. Here, a red hour hand with a buoy profile, a light blue minute hand, and a yellow anchor-shaped seconds hand give the display its maritime character. The deep granulated blue dial evokes a sandy surface, while its blue hue pays homage to sailors and the maritime world that inspired the piece.

At 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock, Alain Silberstein introduces international maritime signal flags that spell out the word YEMA. More than just a graphic element, they give the dial a coded naval identity and reinforce the idea that each element was chosen as both a functional indicator and a symbolic sign.

Applied indices rise from the dial's surface and, along with the luminescent details, add depth, relief, and presence both day and night.

GRADE 5 TITANIUM CASE WITH DOUBLE CROWN

Conceived by Alain Silberstein as part of the watch's overall visual language, the 40mm Grade 5 titanium case is finished in black DLC with a micro-sandblasted surface that gives it a more matte and architectural presence. Its proportions remain contained with a thickness of 11mm, while the 44.5mm lug-to-lug maintains a compact and balanced profile on the wrist.

The construction has been carefully designed so that the lugs appear integrated rather than added, creating a cleaner transition between case and strap and reinforcing the fluidity of the design. The result is graphic, yet disciplined.

The double crown layout plays an important role in this balance. It lends symmetry and character to the case, while preserving its real functionality: the upper crown, highlighted in blue, operates the rotating internal bezel, while the lower crown is used to set the time and wind the calibre.

A CASEBACK THROUGH SILBERSTEIN'S VISION

The transparent sapphire caseback reveals YEMA's CMM.20 in-house micro-rotor calibre through a composition shaped by Alain Silberstein's graphic language. A red oscillating rotor, a yellow gold anchor crafted through a glass metallisation process, and a circular brushed black DLC finished caseback extend the watch's marine identity to its reverse side.

More than serving as a simple technical display, the caseback continues the piece's visual narrative. Colour, symbol, and mechanics combine in a composition that makes the movement an integral part of the artwork itself.
