TOURBILLON CALIBER

Invented by French watchmaker Abraham-Louis Breguet in 1795, the tourbillon is an advanced regulating organ found in some high-end mechanical watches, intended to improve the precision of timepieces. It consists of a rotating cage containing the balance wheel and its hairspring, the escape wheel, the lever and the second wheel that drives it. The cage rotates 360 degrees every 60 seconds, counteracting the effects of gravity and reducing any errors in positioning and accuracy. The tourbillon embodies watchmaking know-how, only a few manufacturers are masters in creating this caliber masterpiece.

TIDE GAUGE COMPLICATION

The tide gauge consists of a tide complication inserted in an elegant register. To make this magnificent phenomenon of nature visible, an elegant hand indicates high and low tide by making gradual half revolutions every 6h 12m 7.89s (passage from high tide to low tide and vice versa) and a complete revolution every 12h 25m 15.79s .
