During the second edition of Milan Watch Week , an international showcase dedicated to fine watchmaking, MV Agusta previewed two watches born from a collaboration with Wyler Vetta , a Swiss brand with an Italian heart. A blend of style and engineering that celebrates the Varese-based brand's eightieth anniversary , uniting the world of two wheels with that of precision timekeeping.
A collaboration born from common values
The partnership between the two companies is no coincidence. MV Agusta and Wyler Vetta share a common obsession with mechanics, the pursuit of perfection, and the appreciation of Italian craftsmanship. The union of their expertise has created a collection of two exclusive timepieces, the Wyler Vetta x MV Agusta Jumbostar , which reinterprets the motorcycle brand's aesthetic codes through watchmaking.
Two models, one soul
The project takes shape in two versions designed for lovers of design and technology:
-
Jumbostar chronograph , powered by the ETA 2894 bicompax calibre with 42 hours of power reserve, made in a limited edition of 80 pieces in homage to the eightieth anniversary of MV Agusta.
-
Automatic time only , powered by the La Joux-Perret G100 movement, with 68 hours of power reserve, available in 500 pieces .
Both models feature a 40 mm steel case , the ideal size for balance and portability, and are water-resistant to 10 ATM , guaranteeing robustness and versatility. The inspiration comes from the MV 98 , the first motorcycle built in Schiranna, and the Superveloce 98 Limited Edition , a symbol of elegance and power.
Design: the dial as a cockpit
The beating heart of the watches is the dial, a direct tribute to the world of racing. At the center stands out natural carbon fiber , an iconic material for sports motorcycles, a symbol of lightness and performance. The Verghera Red background, the historic MV Agusta livery, gives character and recognizability.
The indexes and Arabic numerals are applied and coated with Super-LumiNova , for perfect readability even in low light conditions. Between 7 and 8 o'clock shines a golden “37” , a tribute to the 37 world titles won by MV Agusta in the MotoGP World Championship.
Details that tell a story
Each element evokes a fragment of the motorcycling universe. The crown at 3 o'clock , with its toothed profile inspired by the MV Agusta logo, evokes the wheels and gears of motorcycles. The chronograph buttons reference the Torx screws on the fuel cap, while the additional crown at 10 o'clock adjusts the rotating flange, like a precision lever.
The transparent sapphire crystal case back allows you to admire the automatic movement, whose oscillating weight is decorated with the MV Agusta logo and colors that recall the anodized aluminum rotors of the motorcycles.
Comfort and amenities
The proportions have been carefully studied to combine comfort and presence on the wrist:
-
12.6 mm thick for the chronograph ,
-
10.9 mm for time only .
The two versions offer interchangeable strap solutions via a quick release system .
The chronograph is accompanied by a steel bracelet and a brown leather strap , while the time-only model combines brown leather with black perforated rubber , for a more sporty and racing character.
Swiss Made precision and Italian soul
Behind the refined aesthetics lies a high-level technical soul.
The ETA 2894 movement guarantees the chronograph's reliability and precision, while the La Joux-Perret G100 ensures the time-only model has an extended power reserve of almost three days. Both represent a perfect balance between Swiss innovation and Italian spirit.
