Welcome to the world of the MRG-B5000, based on the very first G-SHOCK and crafted with cutting-edge metals and meticulous finishes that are the hallmark of the flagship MR-G line. These revolutionary timepieces are a study in metalwork. The case and bezel are made from super-hard Ti64-based titanium alloy, while the band is made from another special titanium alloy, DAT55G, three times harder than pure titanium and highly workable. The top of the bezel is made from COBARION, a cobalt-chrome alloy four times harder than pure titanium. The bezel alone is comprised of 25 different components, each individually polished for stunning, detailed texture. The cutting-edge multi-guard structure incorporates flat springs and silicone buffers on the multi-component bezel, ensuring exceptional shock absorption to protect the dedicated MR-G module with a gold-plated retaining plate. Inspired by blue ink painting and calligraphy, the MRG-5000BA model features screws on the band and components with blue ion plating set against a black diamond-like carbon-coated background. Vapor-deposited blue accents add a bold touch to the watch face, while the iconic brick pattern is a nod to the original G-SHOCK DW-5000 design. These metal beauties are also packed with functionality, such as radio-controlled calibration and smartphone pairing via Bluetooth®.
