60 YEARS SINCE HONDA'S FIRST F1 VICTORY
2025 marks the 60th anniversary of Honda's first Formula 1 victory. At 3:46 PM on October 24, 1965, during the final race of the season at the Mexican Grand Prix, the RA272—a car entirely developed by Honda, with an in-house engine and chassis—crossed the finish line first. Since that historic moment, Honda has won six constructors' titles and produced four world champions. Thanks to its extraordinary competitive spirit, the Honda name is now etched in F1 history.

THE ORIGINAL “CHAMPIONSHIP WHITE” COLOR ON THE BEZEL
The body of the RA272, Honda's first F1-winning car, was painted in the traditional "Championship White," a symbol of Honda's competitive spirit. This same authentic paint was applied to the watch's bezel. After a high-adhesion basecoat, a topcoat was added to create the distinctive ivory hue and shine reminiscent of the original car. The number "60" engraved in gold at the 60-minute mark commemorates the anniversary of Honda's first F1 victory.

RA272-INSPIRED HINOMARU DESIGN
Against a predominantly white background, a bright red circle along the edge of the dial creates a striking contrast. This symbolic color combination recalls the Hinomaru design—the white and red motif on the RA272's bodywork.

COMMEMORATIVE ENGRAVING OF THE MOMENT OF THE FIRST VICTORY
At 3:46 PM on October 24, 1965, during the Mexican Grand Prix, Richie Ginther's RA272 crossed the finish line first. This historic moment is engraved on the strap. The message sent from the circuit to Honda headquarters— Veni, Vidi, Vici (“I came, I saw, I conquered”)—is engraved along with the car number “11” on the strap's gold buckle.
