Casio launches two new models inspired by Stranger Things , the popular Netflix series that has captivated millions of viewers and which this year arrives in Italy with its fifth and final season. The collaboration brings the dark and mysterious world of the Upside Down directly to fans' wrists.
The special edition models
The combination of Casio's iconic design and the narrative universe of Stranger Things has created two unique models:
Both reinterpret the classic DW-5600 and AQ-800 cases, integrating symbols and references to the series. The dials of both watches feature an interwoven pattern that recalls the eerie roots of Vecna , evoking the supernatural atmosphere of the Upside Down.
Unique details for enthusiasts
The G-Shock DW-5600STT-1JR includes a surprising little detail: in the “Led Back Light” lettering, the letter “A” is upside down, symbolizing the connection between reality and the alternate dimension. The red backlight recalls the most intense moments of the series. On the strap, the loop features the number “011” , a tribute to Eleven , the central protagonist of the saga.
Among the technical functions, the DW-5600 retains the classic G-Shock features: shockproof structure, backlight, 1/100th of a second chronograph up to 24 hours, timer, multifunction alarm, automatic calendar and 12/24 hour format.
The Casio AQ-800EST-1A stands out for its embossed metal indices inspired by the series' typeface. The case back features the Stranger Things logo, and the clasp is engraved with the number “001,” a reference to Vecna's tattoo. Its main functions include a second time zone, chronograph, daily alarm, and automatic calendar.
Packaging and design
The Stranger Things connection extends to the packaging, which features the Demogorgon and tentacled roots, creating an immersive experience that goes beyond the simple watch, involving every detail of the product.
