The tradition of professional divers meets a new dimension of global use.
With the new Seiko Prospex Diver’s Watch 1968 Heritage GMT, the Japanese maison evolves one of its most iconic designs by introducing the GMT function for the first time in the Prospex diving line.

Two complementary interpretations are thus born: one classic and timeless, the other more audacious and contemporary, both sharing a strong technical identity and a deep connection with Seiko's history.

An iconic design, reinterpreted

The aesthetic is directly inspired by the famous 1968 diver, one of the most representative models in the history of Japanese diving watches.

The 42 mm case maintains solid yet well-balanced proportions, with a lowered center of gravity that significantly improves wearability on the wrist. The surfaces alternate satin and polished finishes, while the unidirectional rotating bezel with ceramic insert guarantees scratch resistance and maximum legibility even in the most extreme conditions.

The HBC002J1 model stands out for its black dial paired with a coordinated bezel, embodying the purest essence of the classic diver.
The HBC001J1, on the other hand, introduces a refined green shade, modern and distinctive, designed for those seeking a bolder character without sacrificing functionality.

The GMT revolution in Prospex divers

The real innovation is represented by the automatic caliber 6R54, an evolution of the well-known 6R35.

This movement introduces the GMT function, allowing a second time zone to be read thanks to the dedicated hand, a complication increasingly requested by those who travel or desire a versatile watch beyond the underwater environment.

Alongside this function, the caliber guarantees solid performance: a power reserve of approximately 72 hours and the typical reliability of Seiko manufacturing, designed to accompany intensive and prolonged use.

Professional performance, contemporary soul

These new Prospex are not just aesthetic evolutions, but true professional instruments.

Water resistance up to 300 meters confirms their diving vocation, while the new bracelet with quick adjustment improves comfort and adaptability, even over a wetsuit. The hands and indexes with LumiBrite treatment ensure excellent legibility in all light conditions.

Every detail is designed for real use, without compromise, while maintaining an aesthetic versatile enough to also adapt to everyday use.

Two souls, one identity

Black represents tradition, the purity of the diver tool watch.
Green introduces personality, contemporaneity, and a distinctive touch.

Two different choices, but both faithful to the Prospex spirit: instruments designed to push boundaries, above and below the surface.
